HENRICO, VA. – East Coast Live brought together the public and private school teams from Virignia for college coaches to live evaluate players. Head coaches from the Big 12 and ACC sat courtside, flanked by coaches from every major conference in the country.
This was the first year that the public and private schools ran this event together, and they did so at the Henrico Sports and Events Center, just outside of Richmond. Kudos to the Commonwealth Basketball Group for spearheading getting this event off the ground.
Allmond is a noted tough guy. A player who finds winning plays consistently throughout the course of a game. A lot of that is why he is currently ranked No. 25 in the 2026 On3 150. This summer, with the Team Loaded VA program on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit, Allmond is averaging 15.0 and 7.5 rebounds while shooting 47.1 percent from three. Allmond had the baselines buzzing as he continues to be one of the biggest risers in this cycle.
Pendergrass showed range on his jump shot, athleticism around the rim, and comfort getting to his jumper within one or two dribbles in the mid-range. The four-star is playing confidently, and the production is certainly there. Pendergrass is ranked No. 83 in the 2026 On3 150. The highest levels of basketball are all about players with positional size and length being able to create advantages. With his ability to create offensive advantages in his area, he is someone who could see a significant boost in recruiting very soon.
The four-star guard has the ability to create clean looks on the ball consistently. He has a smooth shooting touch with range, with interesting footwork off the bounce. When given freedom, he is able to consistently string together buckets. Next up for Moore is continuing to consolidate things and getting to his work within two or three dribbles. He is currently ranked No. 96 overall in the 2027 On3 100. Moore is the son of former UConn team captain and national champion Ricky Moore. Wake Forest and Rutgers were among the early offers for Moore whose star seems to be rising.
4-Star PF Ladarius Givan (Mississippi State) is a rangy and athletic forward. He moves very well, quickly switching ends and putting pressure on the rim. He is still somewhat raw, and his overall game needs continued tightening, but there are a lot of intriguing natural tools in place for the 6-foot-9 forward.
3-Star PG Jordan Hunter (2027) put a relentless amount of pressure on the front of the rim. The 6-foot-2 lead guard was able to touch the paint consistently without a pick, and he finished plays in the paint. The Chatham (VA) Hargrave Military point guard is one who could see a very intriguing pick-me-up soon in his recruitment.
3-Star SF Dreylan Creasy’s recruitment jumped from mid to high major after the last AAU live period. The 6-foot-7 forward has a great frame and is knocking down 3.1 threes per game with Boo Williams on Nike’s EYBL Circuit this summer. He is a fluid athlete who is starting to put his game together.
3-Star SG Jafet Valencia is a new name for me, but someone who made an intriguing impact. He is a 6-foot-6 wing from Loudoun County (VA) Evergreen Christian who plays with a great pace and has a natural feel on the ball. As the event grew, more coaches sat to watch as he produced across-the-board numbers. It will be interesting to see where is recruitment goes from here.
3-Star F Elton James stands around 6-foot-8, and he shows an intriguing skill set. And while the consistency is not there yet, the flashes remain interesting. James is most comfortable facing the basket, and he is at his best when reacting within two dribbles. Next for him is finding consistency, which could be finding his balance points in getting to his spots. He has been an interesting player for a while, given his size and ability to face up, now can he take that step toward consistency?
3-Star SG Will Braun-Duin (2027) knows how to play the game. That is the best way that I know how to put it. His feel for getting into open creases in the defense, getting into the body of the defender and using leverage is interesting. Not the best athlete, he has good length and is a very good shooter with deep, confident range. He is averaging 9.5 points on 39.8 percent shooting from three with the Boo Williams program on Nike’s E16 Circuit this summer. He had a host of schools watching from every level, I will be curious to see which schools come into play for the 6-foot-3 shooting guard.

On3 MVP: 4-Star F Latrell Allmond
Latrell Allmond was one of the stars of the NBPA Top 100 Camp, and the 6-foot-8 forward parlayed that into the June Scholastic Live Period. Playing with Petersburg (VA) High, Allmond was an offensive threat at multiple levels. He gained advantages from two and three dribbles and consistently shot the ball at a high rate. This was the first weekend for Allmond to play in the Scholastic Live Period, as he was on an official visit to Indiana last weekend. Head coaches from Oklahoma State, Virignia Tech, and Maryland were watching his first game of the weekend, along with coaches from programs like Miami, Virginia, Kansas, West Virginia, Tennessee and more throughout the weekend.Allmond is a noted tough guy. 4-Star F Shane Pendergrass
For as good as Latrell Allmond was, Shane Pendergrass’s performances put him in a similar conversation. Pendergrass is a 6-foot-8 wing forward at Chatham (VA) Hargrave Military. He showed pretty intriguing scoring chops throughout the weekend, getting to spots at all three levels and finishing plays consistently.Pendergrass showed range on his jump shot, athleticism around the rim, and comfort getting to his jumper within one or two dribbles in the mid-range. 4-Star SG RJ Moore (2027)
Coming off a state championship last season, RJ Moore transferred to Charlotte (NC) Ambassador Christian for his junior year. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard is a noted scorer, playing with the Garner Road program on the Adidas 3SSB 16u Circuit. Moore is averaging 17.0 points and shooting 38.5 percent from three. While he is still finding his way with a new cast of teammates in a new environment, Moore showed a lot of those scoring chops throughout the weekend. The four-star guard has the ability to create clean looks on the ball consistently. Other East Coast Live Top Performers
3-Star SF Jhett Carter is an intriguing player who continues to add to his game. Standing in the 6-foot-5, 6-foot-6 range, the Chatham (VA) Hargrave Military wing has a great frame with natural instincts. Defensively, he made his mark off-ball, pressuring up the line. Offensively, he finished well in transition and knocked down a couple of catch-and-shoot jumpers. He is someone on a continual upward trajectory.4-Star PF Ladarius Givan (Mississippi State) is a rangy and athletic forward.
