This is disturbing – Biden and Obama Democrats created a new beast, the “popup nonprofit shell” they suddenly launch to take in your taxpayer money supposedly for things like climate change and illegal immigration. Major front for taxpayer abuse with accusations of grift growing by the hour. Never saw it like this in decades covering IRS/taxes. Check out the tax returns for one of these popup NGO shells, the Climate United Fund which got the biggest nonprofit grant in history out of Biden’s massive climate slush funds. Kamala Harris and Biden’s EPA chief Michael Regan gave $7 billion total to the suddenly created Climate United Fund in April 2024 after it launched just five months earlier in November 30, 2022 when Its tax returns show it started with a tiny $547K in revs.But it spent a massive $451K of that $547k in just two months in 2023, a quarter of that on legal fees and the majority $323K mysteriously blown on no one knows what because its tax returns don’t say. It has no stipulated plans for how it will spend your $7B in tax $$, just ephemeral solar projects in Idaho, Arkansas, and Oregon that amount to only about $50M total, a fraction of the $7B. It also gave money out of that $7b to Power Forward Communities linked to Stacey Abrams. It has little to no details on how much its officers get paid that you typically see on NGO 990s, in fact virtually no details, red flags that it’s a shell.It supposedly is a partnership betw Dem insiders at investment firm Calvert Impact Capital, Community Preservation Corp. and a group called “Self-Help” (irony noted). Beth Bafford is its CEO, a former “special assistant” in Obama’s OMB and a regional field director for the Obama Campaign. As we tweeted about a month ago, it has ties to Democratic Party of California chairman and California State Treasurer Phil Angelides, Obama’s Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx, United Farm Workers of America co-founder Dolores Huerta and Patrice Willoughby of the Congressional Black Caucus. Judge Glock, the Director of Research and Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute, noted on X that the Climate United Fund got your $7B ater submitting a small 49-page report. That was all it took.

The acting head of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) told congressional lawmakers Wednesday his staff was preparing potential criminal referrals against those who misused taxpayer dollars intended for foreign development programs
The New York Times said Peter Marocco made his remarks while speaking with members of the House Foreign Affairs Committee during a closed-door meeting.
An internal review is in its early stages, but members of Marocco's team believe they've uncovered a pattern of illegal activity at the agency, which serves as the main component used by the United States to deliver foreign aid.
U.S. Rep. Brian Mast, R-Fla., the chairman of the foreign affairs panel, told the Times USAID is structured in such a way that makes accountability difficult.
"Mr. Marocco was very clear in exposing the waste that goes on out there and in pointing out the way that many of these programs in state and USAID were designed to not be accountable," he said.

You can only cut so much the first go at this. We must grow and create jobs here. Then some cuts will happen because people are doing better.
Good call Gunny. Matter of fact growth is the only real way to wipe out our debt. We can reduce our operating deficits by curtailing fiscal spending, but the debt won't be retired until we grow the economy and increase revenues to the Treasury so we can use that to pay down the debt.
More jobs, more income, more economic activity means more $$$$$$$$$$$ pouring into the treasury which if we're smart we won't spend but instead we will use to simply pay down our debt.
Grow like Jacks bean stock but the debt will keep growing unless we stop spending and kill the waste and fraud . Our government corruption knows no boundaries.
Have to reform entitlements...otherwise no matter how much we cut, it won't make a damn bit of difference in the debt. Entitlements is where the real money is because they're the chief drivers of our deficit spending.
Unfunded mandates, Social Security and Medicare. First cut out the waste fraud & abuse. Then overhaul the programs and how they're funded. Lots of ideas out there on how to do this, but using private investment markets seems to be the most practical.
I believe Trump will get to it, but first we have to reduce the waste, end the fraud, and stop the abuse.
Covid 19 was pretty rough on small buisness too. Alot of those people could use a credit reset and help getting started again. More States need to sue China.
They should be granted a 5 year moratorium on future taxes, or at least credits/write-offs for the taxes that would otherwise be due. Low interest business loans would also help.

Trump has said numerous times he's not touching it other than Fraud, Waste, and Abuse. So we are going to have to find cuts somewhere else.
I think Trump most definitely wants to see some type of reforms in it. However yes, it's true he's not planning on "eliminating" it like he wants to do to the Department of Education and various other needless agencies.
Not giving it to dead people, illegal aliens, and robbing the funds for other shit would be a good reform to start with for Americans. Those that paid into it deserve their money when eligible. Unless you want to breathe life back into the Democrat Party and RINOS who got us 36 trillion in debt to start with.
No thanks. I honestly believe Trump will look at the type of funding reforms that will place it on a long term sustainability. We may also see some type of reforms on eligibility, perhaps even some type of "means testing" where if you're well off and really don't need it, you can substitute or surrender your benefits for tax deductions instead?
Other ideas would be allowing your benefits to be set up under individual retirement accounts that could travel with you during your working career, increasing the age requirements before you draw benefits, or simply privatizing the system like Federal pension funds. We need to do something, way more folks are drawing benefits than will be paying into the system and that will not last for future retirees.
