Trump and Alito almost pulled it off. What a shame.

Really? ..... the sc said he could be charged and sentenced. The appeals court is for overturning the lawfare that was done .
Yeah. MountaineerWV doesn't know what he is talking about. But that won't stop him from telling us how smart he is.

Please, show me where I'm wrong. Show me where a lower appeals court can overturn a Supreme Court ruling. I'll wait.

Correct me then. Show me where the highest court in the land can be overturned by the lower courts. The Supreme Court can overturn their own rulings, but the lower courts cannot.

No one suggsted that. Like I said, you don't know what you are talking about. Keep waiting.

I could be wrong but the case brought up to the SC was about the legality of charging the president of this charge , the appeals court is about how the court case was run and the lawfare that was used . Different cases and arguments. I'm just a dumb azz welder so I could be wrong but that's my understanding of it

SCOTUS ruled on the moving forward with the sentencing, not on the efficacy of the case, unless I’m misunderstood.
Exactly. The case itself can't be appealed until the trial Court enters its final Order, which likely happened today.

And correct me if I’m wrong again, the whole delayed sentencing was a gamble / hedge that the left would win the house back and be seated to enable them to start impeachment proceedings and/or outright block his confirmation due to “felonies”. Now, the appeal won’t occur within the first 100 days and they can try to trot out the talking point until the appeal happens.

At least strategically, this is how I see it playing out in the liberal media, but I’m 99% certain the delays were a long shot hedge.

So, was I misunderstood on your initial response about it "being overturned". You were talking about the decision on the case, not the Supreme Court ruling on allowing it?

Once Merchand said he wasn't going to be sentenced, the SC decided not to intervene. What a travesty and waste of resources.

Yes, you misunderstood. SCOTUS allowed the sentencing.

The efficacy of the case hasn’t been tested yet. The delays in completing the process delayed the appeal process. The left wanted the “convicted felon” narrative through the election period to try and help them.

As soon as this goes to appeal, it’s getting overturned, mostly because the whole case was bullshit. Same with the Letitia James ruling.
