Does anyone really believe Buffalo has any chance?

No way in hell. Yeah, they're good at their level but the hell we bring is different. If Kansas were playing them, Kansas would be picked all the way. Yet, what happened when we played Kansas?

At nearly full strength, where we can rotate players in and out, no way in hell can they win. Add in the amount of playing time our youngsters got- and how well they played together- forget it.

I'm one who really believes Buffalo has a chance...... but it's not because of anything to do with Buffalo.

Bottom line for me is I want to see Juwan Staten and Gary Browne play and if they are indeed healed and can play at the levels they've shown they can when not limited by injury, conditioning, or 'rust' then I'll be much more confident of a Mountaineer win.

Until then I'll take a wait and see with cautious optimism.

All the "talking heads" seem to think Buffalo is going to win. WVU should just stay in Morgantown since the Mountaineers are going to lose.

Let's GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Mountaineers!!! Beat the crap out of Buffalo.

There's always a "chance" albeit a slim one in this case I believe. The mediots are merely posturing to be the ones who predicted a 5/12 upset. And with Hurley coaching UB they are a popular choice.

The other thing is that after WVU wins there are no ramifications and no one will discuss who did and did not pick WVU. One thing I know for sure is that after listening to Gotlieb do the Boise/Dayton game last night I WILL be syncing my radio up with my TV. Good Lord is he awful!

If anyone includes everyone, then yes, plenty of people think they have a chance. We are the 'in vogue' pick for the 5/12 upset. I believe mostly because we were the selection committee's last 5 seed (weakest 5 seed). In terms of WVU fans, I'd say most are pretty confident that we will win. Nothing is ever a guarantee in the NCAA tourney unless you are a 1 seed in the first game. But we SHOULD win the game tomorrow.

Of course

Our press isn't as effective as we'd like.......we shoot 28%.......they shoot 55%.....or we're 13 for 27 from the line. But, I'll still take my chances with the good guys.

Yes, they have a chance

15s have started routinely beating 2s over the past decade, so yes a team we are separated from in the RPI by about 9 spots certainly has a chance.

That said, while the pick seems sexy on paper for the bracketeers out there, the reality is these are two teams that have similar playing styles. WVU is the deeper of the two, they're the bigger of the two, they played the tougher schedule of the two, and lets be honest they're the more talented of the two.

WVU will need to implode to lose this game, which could happen, but I don't think this comes down to how Buffalo plays, it comes down to how WVU plays and if they can handle the emotion of the moment.

To right off any team in the NCAA tournament is either idiotic or this is your first year watching college basketball.

The reason people are picking UB and the reason they have a chance is from our offensive inconsistency and injury concerns.

I'm worried about this game more now after the Big12 sharting their pants today and the trouble we had making shots all year. But I believe in our defense and rebounding and I'm confident players who have struggled shooting the ball will come around.

Our defense is tenacious and defense wins championships so....

But seriously Staten is one of the best pg's in the country and we bring it every single possession so I can't help but feel in my heart that WVU has a magical run this year.

You're write...it is idiotic.

Buffalo has a chance about like Georgia State has (had) their chance. Get my drift?

I'll do my part to help with a victory. Huggs is washed up. No way he beats a Buffalo team thay is as hot as this one. Our players are all looking to transfer at seasons' end anyway. Why play hard now? Things are falling apart in front of our eyes!
