i think so.

as an aside, i'd like to see wvu use that zone more. it will be a useful tool come march.

Honestly I hope not. It will be a valuable asset come March to have multiple defensive sets that WVU runs effectively. If you can press and be good at it your capable of winning any game if you can go in and out of the press without missing a beat you give yourself an even higher chance of winning.

It's a fairly good strategy to just play the zone that worked well against the Cyclones.....then in crunch time, hit them with both barrels full of the press and knock them out of any rhythm that may have had.

agree. also what we see tonight foreshadows what we see all next year, without holton.

The beauty of Press Virginia is that the other side doesn't know what's coming on every in-bounds attempt or after every made shot. And they only have 5 seconds to react to it and get the ball safely to their guy. That's why WVU is No. 1 nationally In steals and turnovers. Every team in March Madness hopes it doesn't face WVU in the 2nd game of the week, with only 1 day between games. An assignment higher than climbing Mount Everest.

I like the way CoolRidgeBoy talks. He right on the money! The press always rattled me and I seldom (if ever) got the ball inbounds under this type pressure.
