BS for top 25 finishes with two...of course one of them is the famous 10-3 team with BS recruits...but who cares about details. Way to go DH! Just four more ties him with DN...but I realize that things were much easiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiier then than now...right?

When Fluffer holgorsen was hired he was supposed to win us a NC. Six years later the best he has produced is a 10-3 team that got curbed stomped by an 8-4 ACC team. Not one significant win this season. Hell even Pitt won a game of significance. I think they beat. Oh my god it was Clemson. Thanks for nothing Fluffer Holgorsen. Lets pound are chest we are ranked 23rd by some second rate publications preseason top 25. last I checked teams that are ranked 23rd aren't playing for national championships.

Best handle ever because it is spooky that someone with mindset is around. I was as critical as anyone before the season started. But 10-3 is NOT chopped liver, particularly in the Big 12. Enjoy it. It's OK to analyze critically, but be reasonable.

BS never won the BE. BS never got a team to BCS bowl. Had BS been kept as HC, he would never have gotten to coach in a game. He passed away before seeing the Big 12.

DH deserves the support of the fanbase right now. He did a good job and we have reason to be excited for next year, alright it took him 6 years to produce excitement with his own roster, better late than never, let's keep it going.

I am glad WVU is getting the benefit of the OJT of the last 6 years, but BS has not got the credit he deserved.

I didn't like what Stewart did after he agreed to the deal to step down, but he was in a no win position when he took the job. He had huge donor openly trashing him in the press and worst of all he wasn't lil' Richie. The man never stood a chance of winning over the donors or much of the fan base.

A lot of those problems were created by Ollie doing the entire Head Coach In Waiting thing which put to totally different types of coaches/staffs together.

OK sure, but he was handed a great team that he could have won big with.

Luck's mistake was in trying to keep everyone happy in the way he did it. That was a fiasco that should have never happened. Fire the man and move on.

It's ancient history, let it go. It has no relevance to today's WVU FB situation other than numbers comparison, which was the OP point. Though I'm not sure why that point was brought up in the first place.

Propane sales are slow at Strickland's due to a warm winter.

I think it's our.

Why don't you cry some more?

Dumbass.

A conversation I had with someone at WVU after Rod left, "why do you think Rod left?" Me,"I don't know". Response, "All of his good players turned pro, and his recruiting was not doing that well". Me, "what are you saying the team had no talent?" Response, "that is exactly what Im telling you with losing 7 starters on defense, and Slaton, Renaud, and Schmitt leaving its bare in that locker room".

Of course he never stood a chance, he was hugely under qualified and inherited one of the country's most electric offenses and neutered it. He should have never been hired, it wasnt his fault for accepting a job that shouldnt have been offered, it was Pastilong's.

Have some respect man. You really come across as an asshole with this post. You don't need to bring BS into your disparaging Holgs argument. #pathetic

And I bet you were highly under qualified for the fry cook position at Burger King. WVU football didn't begin with DH.

Spookycat is the Mountaineer Message Board fluffer... in every sense of the word!

He didn't say it did....

What is your beef with DH? No one is saying he is Saban but we certainly could do a lot worse. WVU does not have the means or desire to pay top money for coaches so we have a good but not great coach, and he wants to be here.

It would be nice if we'd start taking finances out of the equation. Coach D's new contract is probably average for the Big Xii, below Stoops but above Kingsbury... Gundy/Patterson range. If he won a Big Xii title and sniffed a playoff spot I'll bet WVU would pony up.

I have two issues with Coach D, both very manageable if he wanted to address them. 1.) The sideline antics and the tuning-out when things don't go his way are just down-right offending. The players and the fan deserve better. 2.) Bad 'do.
