Again look at what Satterfield is doing at Louisville. You wanna use the lame terrible roster excuse? Ask them about their roster.

Coaching matters.

This is not a knock on Brown. It's a give it a rest with depleted roster BS.

You have got to be kidding or totally lack knowledge/experience in assembling all pertinent facts and putting together a rational, complete basis for a logic based debate. Surely you do not believe that having 4or 5 true freshmen playing together in secondary with, at least, on other, playing in the DL does not negatively impact the way we play. Then look at the WRs and note the lack of experience, especially the true freshmen also playing there.
Please get real with your arguments and dispose of the single focused, limited data (skewed) information considered.

You haven't really arrived on the BL until you've been eerdoc(ed)...

Interesting comment ... look at Louisville.

So I did.

Sagarin has us rated 53 against the 12th ranked schedule.

Louisville is ranked 62 against the 46th ranked schedule.

Hmmm.

Are you giving them credit for beating Florida State???

Ha! Ha! Your Headline FAILS.

Louisville returned 57 letter winners, including 19 starters (seven offense, 10 defense, 2 specialists), from last season.

Yeah boy they really suffered losing those 20 not yet starting players.

So basically you're saying you hate Neal Brown so you post your love for UL.

By the way UL started the season with 110 players.

I was going to say that was a poorly research original premise.

I looked up Troy's 2018 roster the other day and looked at the freshmen and what Brown did with them. I'm going on memory so my numbers could be off some, but it's at least ballpark. Of the 20 freshmen at Troy in 2018, here's what Brown did with them.

14 redshirted, which means they played in 4 games at most.
3 didn't redshirt and played a little
1 didn't redshirt and played a lot
For 2 the website didn't say, which probably means they didn't play.

I doubt Brown had a complete change of philosophy in 2019 and started playing freshmen for the heck of it. I think instead he felt he had no other choice. Given a choice, Brown (and lots of other smart coaches, like Don Nehlen), let the young guys develop while playing the older guys, with exceptions of course for the younger guys that happen to be really good.

Everything else being equal, a player is almost always better at 22 than he is at 18.

This is the youngest WVU football team I have seen in 30 years

You deserve to get blasted for this ridiculous post.

Just admit you are clueless and move on.
