I've been posting on here recently how Dems are losing support among two of their key constituent groups. Blacks and Latinos are steadily leaving the Democrat party in favor of Trump's MAGA agenda, and this piece spells out some of the reasons why in a key "swing" State Dems can't afford to lose.

excerpt:
In Pennsylvania, as in many other states, Latinos have traditionally voted Democratic by large margins. But in places like Hazleton and elsewhere in the Latino Belt, there are growing signs that those habits are fraying.

Nicarol Soto, a Democrat who lost a city council bid in Hazleton last year, says she’s seen it in her own family, where some identify as Donald Trump supporters. “We are losing a lot of voters,” said Soto, a Dominican Republic-born resident who immigrated with her family to Hazleton during her high school years. She attributes some of the rightward shift to economic concerns and attitudes on cultural issues like abortion. “They’re moving towards the other side.”

Latinos are traditionally more conservative people by nature I think, but was confused by the name of the Democrat party. Many come here running from socialism not realizing they was voting for the very same thing . I work and stay around many Latinos who operate small businesses and they hate the free college idea. They like me ask why should they pay for college when they didn't go ?
