Linda Sarsour helpfully demonstrated that she's still an anti-Semite.
Responding Monday to critics of the Palestine plank in a platform devoted to women’s rights, Palestinian-American activist Linda Sarsour, an organizer of January’s Women’s March on Washington who also helped plan the Women’s Strike, came forth with a harsh message: feminism and Zionism simply don’t go together.
“It just doesn’t make any sense for someone to say, ‘Is there room for people who support the state of Israel and do not criticize it in the movement?’ There can’t be in feminism. You either stand up for the rights of all women, including Palestinians, or none. There’s just no way around it,” Sarsour said.
Who put Linda Sarsour in charge of deciding who is a feminist? The left did.
Now the idea that Jews who believe that they have rights as a people can't be feminists, but an Islamist who defended the Saudi ban on women driving, can, shows just how thoroughly the left has turned the term feminist into meaningless intersectional gibberish.
It also ought to be noted that Linda Sarsour's opposition to the rights of Jewish women in Israel don't read her out of the movement. But feminism now requires paying allegiance to the nationalistic ambitions of Muslim settlers in Israel.
Once again, the left denies Jewish civil rights. If Linda Sarsour gets to claim that Phyllis Chesler can't be a feminist because she believes that Jewish women have rights, including the right to drive, then feminism no longer means anything.
