WVU Release Date Changed for WVU Baseball Game at Marshall in Charleston

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (January 9, 2018) – The West Virginia University baseball team’s game at Marshall in Charleston, West Virginia, has been moved up a day to Tuesday, April 24.


The game will be played at Appalachian Power Park, with first pitch set for 6 p.m. ET. Ticket information will be released by MU at a later date. The game was originally announced for Wednesday, April 25.


The two in-state foes also will meet in Morgantown, on Tuesday, May 15, at Monongalia County Ballpark.


The Mountaineers have swept back-to-back season series against the Thundering Herd and are 15-3 in the last 18 meetings. Last year, WVU posted a 14-7 win in Morgantown before an 8-4 victory in Charleston.


Along with the contest in Charleston, times have been set for WVU’s mid-week series at Tennessee Tech. The series in Cookeville, Tennessee, opens on Tuesday, March 13, at 7 p.m. ET, followed by a 4 p.m. ET matchup on Wednesday, March 14. Additionally, West Virginia’s series-closing game at Middle Tennessee State, on Sunday, March 11, is set for 2 p.m. ET. First pitch was originally announced for 3 p.m.
