Just simply not a good coach. Hes not a terrible coach, there are Kragthorpes that fit that description, but he is not a coach that will ever give us anything other than a once a year upset of a top 15 team. Meanwhile there are coaches out there that can make us that top 15 team.
Their ain't ever gonna be more than 15 Top 15 teams. WV ain't ever gonna be one of them. They ain't got the cash to hang with the big boys. In the meantime, be happy that Holgs is able to entertain us on his and his staffs modest salary. Heck, I might just send the program an infusion of cash .............. just to keep things entertaining for the loyal fans.

News Flash....WVU is 11-17 in Big12 games because, that's how many Big12 games WVU has played.

I think Holgerson has assembled a rather descent team AND he has the ability to coach this team to a very successful season, beyond what was expected in July & August. On both sides of the ball our big guys did a very respectable job last Saturday and the skill players have the talent. A lopsided score in favor of the good guys Saturday could be just what the doctor ordered.
Just shows you that the Big 12 is a great conference. Holgorsen won a Big East Championship before WVU joined the Big 12.
He would be undefeated every year if he played Marshall's schedule.
Facts:
1) WVU was never in the AAC.
2) Not one legitimate poster here ever expressed a demand that WVU would "dominate" upon moving to the Big 12.
Make sure you boys keep trotting out that lie every so often, though.

TCU and WVU had identical all-time Big 12 records until last fall, when West Virginia went 5-4 and Texas Christian went 8-1. Not sure if one season is long enough to confirm that the separation is permanent.
TCU also had a cohesive coaching staff while entering the big 12. We on the other hand had to deal with the bill Stewart debacle (R.I.P.) in which out of 50 recruits only 23 made it through the program.
WV will never, ever be able to get that kind of talent no matter who the coach is. It's the same reason WV's population has never risen when other states have.
Do you even pay attention to the yearly recruiting rankings? Or are you just talking out of your ass? Do me a favor and compare TCU and WVU's class rankings over the past 5 years and get back to me. "WVU will never, ever be able to get that kind of talent......". Lmao, is this real life?
