It just isn't head coach

I believe the "Peter Principal" is in effect:

In an hierarchy people tend to rise to "their level of incompetence." Thus, as people are promoted, they become progressively less-effective because good performance in one job does not guarantee similar performance in another.

We will see as the rest of this year unfolds. 4 1/2 years have been pretty indicative of what we're going to get the rest of this year and any additional years.

Anyone seen any indication/s of greatness to come

Unfortunately, most people seem to be promoted based on this philosophy in today's world.

But I'm curious as to what "principle" was used to promote an incompetent DB coach to defensive coordinator. That has me a bit befuddled.

If outdated 40 year old pop psychology is a criterion for judging coaches, why not bring in that ol' snake oil salesman, Zig Ziglar, for the fanbase? Zig would tell you if the fans thought more positively and cheered in a clean but positive manner, WVU would be winning national championships in all sports every year. And we'd all be rich!

You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win.

Zig Ziglar

40 years old psychology or not, if it still holds truth, then why not use it?
