Dana and WVU 8-5

Pretty average year. But I was pumped to see us win the bowl. That's something to build on.

Agreed, it was average. I did like how DH kept the team together after the 4 straight losses and finishing the season with a nice bowl win.

I'm with you here. Kind of indifferent on the season but it sure was nice to win the bowl game. One thing I couldn't stand about the Nehlan years (and believe me, there was more good than bad overall) was our lack of bowl wins.

Sure, you can argue all day that they don't mean much in the grand scheme but the reality is, it's a quality win against an opponent that we typically don't play and you get decent press for the win.

The person you're arguing with doesn't have any say in what happens in the program and neither do you. Besides, your argument is flawed from the beginning. You can believe in advancing the program without wanting to fire the coach (which is the only opinion you contribute here). We didn't keep Stewart because his boss made the decision and believe it or not, it wasn't only about wins - there was a lot more to Stewart's departure.

And there are plenty of teams and fanbases that share your loud-mouthed, couch-potato t-shirt fan ideas. Please go to them. I am revoking YOUR WVU fan card right now.....

Darth Darth Darth....... You don't even have a fan card, since you don't care about the advancement. Maybe there was more to Stew's firing, but Luck made it clear 9 wins "wasn't enough".

Do I want Dana fired? No. I want him to succeed. But, he's not looking like he will achieve the level that Mountaineer football should strive to be and have said they want to be......

Again, though, my card is still up-to-date......maybe your revoking didn't go through? Please, try again.

Fan cards aren't a real thing. I still have my WVU Student ID, how about you? Being a fan is a mostly abstract concept with virtually no barrier to entry. So if you want to hang your hat on that, have at it.

I care very much about advancing WVU's programs and the entire University - I'm just smart enough to know barking on a message board doesn't matter or make any difference. I've been active with our alumni association and have gone out of my way to help many WVU graduates find internships and employment. I donate and represent WVU well in life.

Football fans calling for a coach to be fired on the internet isn't anything new. Sometimes they get their wish, sometimes they don't but either way the outcome isn't dependent on their loud-mouthed yelping. Wish in one hand, crap in the other and see which fills first.

Oliver Luck doesn't work for WVU any longer and a great deal has changed since that time. WVU can do what it can, but it can't do everything and no matter who the coach is, you won't like him and will still complain on the internet.

In just a few years WVU has joined a new premier athletic conference, upgraded facilities, negotiated and defended a very politically charged media contract, and made multiple coaching changes - all in the name of advancing our programs. There is currently hundred's of millions of dollars of current and recently completed development within Morgantown and on WVU campus - all in the name of advancement.

You can't please everyone and some people don't really deserve to be pleased or even taken seriously.

show us proof where luck stated 9 wins was not enough. I'll be waiting.

Well, I've got my ID card as well. You bore me, Darth. [pfftt] I expected more from you. Did you perhaps also receive a degree from a school just to the north? Would explain a LOT. ;)

Not an ID card from WVU, I don't believe that.

But hey, I had a freshman roommate who only lasted a few weeks before he packed up and left - I guess he might have an ID card somewhere.

Nor do I believe yours. So, guess we are at a stalemate. It's the Internet, everyone tells the truth.....;).....and I can understand why your roommate left. He probably didn't leave school, just couldn't stand another day with you. [thumbsup]

You guys still have your Student ID??? I can't even remember what they looked like! I guess I am not a packrat.

Another win and he could have matched a typical BS year's record. May if DH gets another three or four decades...I meant years...then his program will turn the corner.:cool2:
