A federal judge on Friday temporarily blocked an internal audit of our government payment records by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from obtaining access to certain Treasury Department records.
Treasury officials "will not provide access to any payment record or payment system of records maintained within the [Treasury] Bureau of Fiscal Service," Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly wrote in a temporary restraining order.
That program handles an estimated 90% of federal payments.
Every single American should have access to view where all that money goes with the exception to Social Security benefits. It’s our taxpayer dollars we should have a right to know where they go.
When the government needs to sue the government to find out what the government did suggests a "shadow" government existed.
Going to the courts indicates guilt and something to hide. The new Treasury Secretary has access. Always a go around.
