What's the intel coming out of practice? I thought he had the potential to develop into a stud for us - wish he was still in Gainesville!

Basically he's viewed as a game changer at WVU. I've covered the program for over two decades and he has more hype than just about any player during that time. It remains to be seen if he can even come close to reaching the success many are predicting.

One WVU coach said watching Grier QB our scout team in bowl practices was "really exciting to see our future."

Vernon,

Do you mean hype for a qb? Or hype for any player at any position? , in the 2 decades.

to paraphrase Dennis Green, I hope he is who we think he is.

How many years will he have left?

He's right up there with players at any position in terms of hype. I can appreciate the excitement but people are asking a lot of guy that most have never seen play.

He redshirted in 2014, played in 2015 and had to sit in 2016 so he will have two years remaining.

I think Gibby said during the season that his D facing the scout team is seeing the best QB in the B12. fwiw

Thanks. How much of the hype do you feel is based on his prep and Florida career versus what is coming from WVU insiders and coaches?
