Palmyra (N.J.) athlete Kelvin Harmon has told me that he is NOT planning to take an official visit to West Virginia. Over the weekend on his official visit to Miami he received an offer to play wide receiver after the Mountaineers had previously offered as a safety. At the time he told me he was considering a possible late trip to West Virginia, but nothing ever materialized. He's expected to choose between several schools such as North Carolina State, Miami, Indiana and South Carolina.
Garden City (C.C.) defensive back Lonnie Johnson plans to take an official visit to Iowa State, the school he is currently committed to, this weekend. Johnson has yet to receive an offer from West Virginia and the coaching staff has not visited him this week after stopping into the school a week ago. Outside the possibility of waiting past signing day it looks like this one is safe to cross off the list.
