That is different. I get the no practicing thing with the injury risk and getting ready for his likely last finals in college. Not talking to your coaches is a poor move and should be considered when he reaches the draft.

The differences is that you have to build some kind of resume to give the NFL. On the other hand, playing a meaningless game weeks or months after the regular season is over doesn't make a bunch of sense. It's the same reason you don't see a lot of NFL players play much in the preseason.

Sure it makes sense. He is part of a team and the team's success should be a factor in any team player's decision. That said, he should fit nicely into this "me first" society we now live in. Personally, I have thought all season we are a better team with McCoy in the backfield.
