--Spoke with Pittsburgh (Pa.) Penn Hills 2017 linebacker Ricky Squires and he informed me that he will be camping at West Virginia tomorrow. He also said that Pittsburgh (Pa.) Seton La Salle 2017 athlete Paris Ford could be joining him along with several others as part of their 7-on-7 team. Pittsburgh (Pa.) Central Catholic cornerback Damar Hamlin also is a member of that team and while he has already eliminated West Virginia it couldn't hurt to have any of them on campus.
--Here is an update from our Notre Dame site with Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) safety Devin Studstill following his visit to South Bend. Studstill is the son of former West Virginia quarterback Darren and was last in Morgantown for the spring game. Right now the believed leaders are West Virginia, Notre Dame and Miami. https://westvirginia.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1776737
--West Virginia remains in the top four for Hamilton (Oh.) cornerback A'Shon Riggins. He is visiting Indiana today but plans to make a visit to Morgantown later this summer. Here is the update from our Indiana site: https://westvirginia.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1776713
--West Virginia remains in the picture for Hutchinson C.C. (Kan.) offensive tackle Tate Leavitt but things keep getting more difficult as he has recently picked up offers from Auburn and Oklahoma. Leavitt is trying to cut his list down to five programs that he will officially visit and I believe the Mountaineers stand a good chance of making that cut but as I said this keeps getting more log-jammed with schools. Here's an article from our Auburn site: https://westvirginia.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1776514
--Speaking of Auburn, Apopka (Fla.) Wekiva defensive tackle Tashawn Manning committed to the Tigers. He held a West Virginia offer and expressed interest in the program but Auburn jumped into the picture a few days later and he seemed to really like the Tigers.
--Finally, West Virginia remains in the picture for Mount Dora (Fla.) offensive lineman Brett Heggie. Currently the Mountaineers are in a group that includes Florida, Miami, UCF, South Carolina, Mississippi State and Iowa State. He plans to make some visits this summer.
