He's a good coach. I like him. But he's shown that he's REALLY good when he has REALLY GOOD PLAYERS. When he has average players, not so much. And his style that top recruits once loved, mainly because they were unique, has now been imitated by many other coaches.

A great coach (and staff) with average players will usually do better than an average coach with great players.

Aren't the good coach's the ones who can punch above their weight class with average players? The guys who need good players to look good probably are average coaches.

Any coach who schemes their way to success at the college level gets copied/figured out then faded into obscurity. Players win championships. Dabo can come here and win 7-9 and not have fans breathing down his neck until he eventually bags another Heisman winning QB and takes us to the CFP.
