Could this be the start........

There's a fair smattering of Herd fans that wish they were still in the 1-AA ranks where they used to play for championships.
I'm of the opinion you need to take the top 80, and form four 20 team conferences, with each split as 10 team divisions within the conference. Division winners play for conference championship, conference champs compete in the same manner it currently stands. That won't give you your best eight teams overall, but if you're unable to win your own division or conference, then you're not worthy regardless.

The MAC does have a bigger payout for TV rights (if you don't mind playing your games on Tuesday or Wednesday nights).

Has anyone asked MAC if they would even humble themselves far enough to accept them?
They'd fall all over themselves to take us back but while I think we should re-join, I recognize I'm in the minority on this issue.

Please provide quotes from conference authorities that support your contention. Doubt there is much ‘falling all over themselves’. Love to see the evidence that proves me wrong . Doubt you have or have seen such rither. Wishful thinking???

They would have to do a lot of ass kissing for the MAC to take them back for a third time. I'm not sure if there is room enough in Marshall's budget for all the ChapStick it would take.

Do you have quotes attesting to the opposite?

Im sure they would fall over themselves to add anouther mouth to feed with their ESPN deal, especially since they would add half of Marshalls viewing market and the 125k people that cone with it.
