In all fairness your choice of "anyone" sure made it sound like every human alive thought we sucked this year......which was, and is, not true.
Sounded a little back handed to me.....
I think it hurts little bother when we do good. 5-0, women's soccer and rifle ranked #1 and men's basketball preseason #2 in B12 has the turds green with envy. But they always have that preseason vote from Doc to crow about.

This is an entirely different team with Lang, Leggett in the secondary and an OC with a playbook bigger than my 7 year olds library book. Doc seems to cut talent quicker then he can find it these days. This team will finish 5-7
The defense is truly bad. Offensively iit isnt all rosey but they have the pieces.
Mounties are good....why not WVU? Sooners and the rest of the Big 12 bunch play no defense and WVU will at least hit you and attempt to cover somebody!Thanks. What's gotten into you? Somebody hack your account?
I was impressed with the defense. Holding TT to 17 is no easy feat.
Both of TTU's lines were terrible though. Offense and defense, we dominated the LOS. Skylar stayed clean and had all day to throw.
I think our kickoff coverage is going to end up costing us a game sometime down the road.
The only time the Red Raiders blocked any human was 5 minutes after the whistle blew! I knew they played no defense and WVU would score at will but was surprised to see the Mounties completely stifle them on offense, their first TD was a fluke and their last a ho hum after the contest was decided.
That first one really should have been an interception, safety got out of position.

Chemist is hilarious. I think he posts on a Scout board nowadays. Michigan probably won't be around until you guys start dropping some games.
You're doing well, but is anyone concerned that, although you're 5-0, you are currently lacking any wins over a I-A team with a winning record? You definitely deserve a top 25 spot, but #12? That seems a bit generous, all things considered.
And before anyone bothers, I know Marshall is hot garbage...I'm actually asking about WVu with non-smack intentions.
Check the rankings. After today we have as many wins versus teams with a winning record of at least a couple in front of us and heading into the week our SOS was better. Are we ranked to high, or did we start out ranked to low? Rankings are pretty odd when it comes down to it.
Fair enough. But where (and give an honest answer) do you see the playoff committee ranking you?
Honestly, no idea. They want "name" schools, so that has to be considered. WVU isn't an unknown name, so that helps -- and the fan base is considered rabid and follows well, so that helps. I doubt we are in the top 5 when the first one comes out, but if we keep winning we could get in. It'll be an uphill battle since the committee doesn't pick based solely on how good the teams are, but all we can do is win. Be fun seeing how this team responds to having the target on their backs.
At a guess, if we win next week I think we'll be in the top 10 of the first playoff rankings.
