Media and anti BIG 12 posters continue to insinuate that the BIG 12 is diminished by adding the qualified schools being considered.

But the BIG 12 isn't weak at all.

OU
TCU
Baylor
OSU
Kansas State
WVU
Texas Tech
Texas
Iowa State
Kansas

With say:
BYU
Houston
Cincinnati
and Memphis or maybe UCF or UConn

How is this a "lesser" conference than

FSU
CLemson
VT
UNC
Duke
NC State
Louisville
GT
Miami
SU
PItt
UVA
BC
Wake Forest

The BIG 12 is still light years ahead in strength.

Ohio State
Michigan
MSU
Wisconsin
PSU
Iowa
Nebraska
Northwestern
Maryland
Minnesota
Illinois
Indiana
Purdue
Rutgers?

NOT a better league at all.

Oregon
Stanford
Arizona State
USC
UCLA
Arizona
Utah
Washington
California
Wazzou
Colorado
Oregon State?

Not a better conference.

The BIG 12 doesn't lose anything by expanding and should not let those coveting UT and OU destroy it.

Excellent point. It's the agenda driven media and the ignorant fans who are influenced by the agenda driven media that are coming up with the Big 12 is weak argument. Any conference that has Duke, Wake, BC, Virginia, Pitt and SU has no room to talk.

You can't compare the Big 12 to the Big 10. Ohio St., Mich, Nebraska, Penn State are all football powerhouses, look at their national followings, the size of their stadiums, winning traditions, etc.

Wisky, Sparty, and Iowa are just as big if not bigger programs than anyone in the Big 12 not named Texas or OU.

The Big 10 is superior to the Big 12 in every way and it's not even close. Basketball also.

Nebraska and Penn State? Lately? Give me a break. They've got OSU, Michigan and sometimes Michigan State. That's about it. Five Big 12 teams would be favored over the rest.

LIne them up:

OU--Ohio State ----they play this year with both having strong programs
Baylor-Michigan State --- neck and neck based on their last game. Baylor may fall off we shall see.
TCU- Michigan---TCU has been the better program for awhile now
OSU-Wisconsin--OSU hung with a strong FSU, and can beat Wisconsin
KSU-PSU---PSU has been down, KSU has a solid program under Snyder
WVU-Nebraska---would be a fun high scoring game to watch
Texas- Iowa--- Texas is getting better, Iowa had their one good year in ten last year
Texas Tech- Northwestern-- another fun game but Tech the better program
Iowa State- Minnesota --two programs with new coaches in the last couple of years with strong following
BYU-Maryland--BYU would be the favorite
Houston- Illinois --Houston by a mile
Cincinnati--Indiana---- another fun game
Memphis - Purdue---Tigers would romp
Kansas- Rutgers--toss up
