Basketball is not the same if you really want to stir the pot then ask all the Huggins lovers why we have a coach that can beat a team that he couldn't. Better yet ask why the world hasn't ended.Quite a difference.
Quite a difference.
Sadly time passed Huggs and his style by.Basketball is not the same if you really want to stir the pot then ask all the Huggins lovers why we have a coach that can beat a team that he couldn't. Better yet ask why the world hasn't ended.
I agreed it was time for Huggins to step aside. Regardless of the DUI or slurs. It was just that time. I’m aware basketball is not the same sport. It doesn’t change the facts.Basketball is not the same if you really want to stir the pot then ask all the Huggins lovers why we have a coach that can beat a team that he couldn't. The fact is basketball has nothing to do with football. Beilen beat a top 10 Florida team in his 1st season, and we ended up with a losing record. This game may mean nothing in the grand scheme if we don't build on it. Brown has technically beaten 3 teams that were ranked none of them finished ranked. Wvu football as a whole has only beaten two teams that finished the season ranked since 2014.I agreed it was time for Huggins to step aside. Regardless of the DUI or slurs. It was just that time. Mark Few would agree with you. But I don't. Huggins was a danger.I was ready to move on from huggs just not in the way that we did. I thought it was stupid and still do. Always will....
There's going to be a few more Pitt type games just like there will be more Gonzaga type games. He not only already beat a highly ranked team but he doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who is going to sit there and make excuses for 45 minutes after every game when he doesn't. Other than the spitt game it has been a great start to the basketball season for sure!
If that's the case they should have let him go a long ass time ago lol. His reputation in Morgantown is well known. They probably let it go on way too longMark Few would agree with you. But I don't. Huggins was a danger.
Agree they did. Just like Cincinnati did. You drive drunk you're a danger. If that's the case they should have let him go a long ass time ago lol. His reputation in Morgantown is well known. They probably let it go on way too long
Which is why I don't drive anywhere around town at night on the weekends in morgantown. So many drunk drivers it's ridiculous. There are more drunk drivers than not at 12:00 on a Saturday night.Agree they did. Just like Cincinnati did. You drive drunk you're a danger.
Quite a difference.
Not completely true. He does have 4 wins against ranked teams in his six years. Lots of losses but 4 wins.
Actually Brown has beaten 3 teams that were ranked at the time they played but did not finish ranked.Quite a difference.
Nice to celebrate beating Gonzaga while beating Louisville,
additionally today, hopefully.
Overall Back to WVU football- But you all are Great at "stomping out" - becoming bowl eligible, Buzz.
We all live vicariously through
West Virginia wins & loses.
But No West Virginia coach has to deal with playing Penn State & Pittsburgh - while playing a modern b12 schedule & fan insecurities.
Enjoy because most forget,
it's the players playing the actual games.
Your constant Negativity is hurting recruiting of new & future Mountaineers, same for existing WVU Roster.
Live with it.
Happy Thanksgiving

When Appy state beat Michigan in football it was an upset for the ages. When an unranked team beats a ranked team in Basketball it may or may not mean anything. These types of upsets happen all the time. Josh Eilert beat Kansas and Texas last season and both where ranked. It didn't change the fact that we finished 9-23. There are many things to criticize Brown about but comparing Football results to that of Basketball is a stretch. One has nothing to do with the other. The fact is the basketball game that happened in the middle of the afternoon was more exciting than any football game we've had in the last 6 years. You can nitpick the differences between basketball and football and nitpick little stats about Neil Brown but the bottom line is, when you play up to your competition, that's a sign of good coaching. That's something the football team can't do under Brown
Except Neal Brown never upsets anyone. So it doesn’t happen all the time. It just happens everywhere else. When Appy state beat Michigan in football it was an upset for the ages. Neal Brown also isn't a Basketball coach now is he?Except Neal Brown never upsets anyone. So it doesn’t happen all the time. It just happens everywhere else.
I gave Neal Brown a chance. You know that. Most of us did. It’s time for everyone to finally acknowledge this guy isn’t getting it done. We defended this guy relentlessly on this board. We were wrong. The point is, he’s not coaching his players up. We don’t win against the good teams. We beat only the average 4-6 win teams. Good coaches upset good to great teams. Neal Brown seems to be a great person, but it’s time to move on.Neal Brown also isn't a Basketball coach now is he?

After tonight's loss he took full blame for it.He not only already beat a highly ranked team but he doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who is going to sit there and make excuses for 45 minutes after every game when he doesn't. When he told the fans he understood they wanted to win BUT asked if they had a good time tailgating because the weather was nice, that told me he doesn’t care if we win or not. He took the job for granted. It also showed me Baker and WVU didn’t care either because he obviously felt no pressure to win. That’s unacceptable to me and it should be unacceptable to any Mountaineer fan. If it were Rodriguez or Nehlen, they would be telling us in their postgame pressers this was unacceptable as well. They wouldn’t be smiling about the atmosphere and weather. That's what a good leader of men should do. The books and clinics I've taken in to learn how to be a better leader myself is what led me to jump off the Brown bandwagon 3 years ago. When you listen to Brown talk, his demeanor and words tell the story. His mediocrity was and still is predictable because of it, imo. It doesn't take a lot to realize that he doesn't really care about winning. He has a modern, "participation trophy" style about him that is just not going to cut it on this level.
I think Wren Baker is the best AD we've had in 20 years. Thanks goes to Shane for putting us into an impossible situation and being negative on NIL. Firing Shane was the best move ever. When he told the fans he understood they wanted to win BUT asked if they had a good time tailgating because the weather was nice, that told me he doesn’t care if we win or not. I’ll be shocked if he’s gone after Texas Tech. I’d say they let him coach in the bowl. I may be wrong. If he wins tomorrow and wins a bowl, he’s 8-5. Would that change things? Possibly. I’d like him gone regardless.I think Wren Baker is the best AD we've had in 20 years. Thanks goes to Shane for putting us into an impossible situation and being negative on NIL. But if Wren doesn't fire Brown after Saturday then he needs to go. I believe Saturday is Brown's last day at WVU.

Can him and send him out the door or stay .500You're great at spending
someone else's money.
Free firing without consideration for total financial impact is emotional & immature, especially without celebrating bowl eligibility.
Wait and see
Can you agree to stop posting here (till Christmas) if Neal Brown is retained just after TT.Can him and send him out the door or stay .500
Sounds like you're in love with Brown. Can you agree to stop posting here (till Christmas) if Neal Brown is retained.
You opinions are negative during the most critical recruiting season and would be considering damaging.
