Of course if you'd read the article you'd know that the request for funds was made before the tox report was received. Poor judgement/not following protocol? likely. corrupt? no. The funding request is under review, relax Francis.

The chief refused to pull the funding request and said he’d leave it up to state to decide, thus excusing himself from making the decision or “be the bad guy”. I didn’t also know we’d be freely handing out money to everyone who just randomly dies in their bunk, even if it was from natural causes. They are playing the wording game for submission for the funds as he wasn’t even on an active call during his death.
