Lawrenceville (Ga.) Central Gwinnett 2018 quarterback Jarren Williams received an offer from West Virginia yesterday and he told me that it's a school he is really looking into because of the success they've had at the position over the years. He doesn't know a whole lot about the school but he is familiar with Geno Smith and the success they've had in the draft in recent years. Williams actually didn't start playing quarterback until 9th grade but has really impressed with his skill set at the position particularly his footwork and arm strength. He threw for around 1,650 yards and 14 touchdowns last year in nine games and labels himself as a passing quarterback that can use his feet. Williams has a total of seven offers right now from schools like Florida State, Louisville, Kentucky and Colorado and he plans to make multiple visits this summer to see places including a potential stop at West Virginia. No decision timeline here yet but I'll have a lot more soon.
