Loganville (Ga.) Grayson 2017 quarterback Chase Brice told me that he had talked with West Virginia some before the offer so it wasn't a complete shock but the Mountaineers were very impressed with his highlight tape and made the decision to extend a scholarship to the talented signal caller. Brice has been starting for a year and a half already at his high school and is interested in playing in a spread or pro-style offense at the next level so he obviously is very interested in finding out more about the Mountaineers. Brice told me that the offer was really exciting in large part because he's familiar with all of the success that people at the position have had under Dana Holgorsen and he plans to make a visit to Morgantown at some point along with trips a lot of other places. He will likely be a very highly recruited prospect as he currently has 13 offers already and is hearing from a lot more schools. At this stage, Brice believes his strength is his footwork and accuracy. I'll have a lot more in an article.
