That's a very rational argument.
I'd argue that if he drank 5 Hour Energy drink instead of Red Bull we'd have won....but we'll never know now.
His plan was so good all game long, why slow down and think....oh yeah, because he is an idiot.
Not sure that time out really affected anything. Howard had poor pocket awareness as his roll out was about as effective in buying him time as stepping into the pocket. If he had stepped into the pocket, he may have even seen Thompson coming free in the back of the endzone wide open. Then he would just have to get it there without over throwing the ball. That being said, running it on 3rd and 4 on a stretch play was a gamble that I do not think should have been taken. Off tackle at worst there.
10 out of 10 REAL head coaches in that situation take the timeout.....of course it wasn't what lost us the game...what llost us the game was inept offensive scheme
I'm not sure how much that TO mattered, but I see no reason not to take it. The D wasn't on their heels.
