Carjacker, 13, shot and killed by driver in D.C.

D.C. police said a driver shot and killed a 13-year-old carjacker Saturday near Judiciary Square.
Metropolitan Police said the victim was sitting in his car on the 600 block of D Street Northwest when he was approached by two juveniles around 10 p.m.
Authorities said the juveniles demanded the man exit his car, with one of the suspects holding the front of his waistband as if he had a handgun.
Police said the victim got out of the car and then opened fire on one of the juveniles with his own legally registered firearm. The other suspect fled.
Officers arrived on the scene and had the boy taken to a hospital, where he died of his injuries.

They were big and bad and bold threatening to take the man's car, but after he opened fire on them you see how bold they were right? As more folks become armed, you'll hear more stories like this and so will the punks. Might make 'em think twice before they decide to "carjack" someone? You just never know who's packing enough heat to turn your "carjacking" into a Funeral?
Sad ,very sad a 13 year old had to die I feel so sorry for the parents if there is any . I agree the person who shot had every right to defend himself and his property. Shame we have to do what we pay cops and politicians to do .
Upside thieves have to be afraid of gun packing good people defending themselves. Downside thieves will go straight to drastic measures to get the car . Need to put those caught doing crimes away for along time and go after those who put these kids up to it away for life .
Chances are neither of those kids had Parents who gave a damn about raising them NOT to go around stealing cars. 😒
