Can't think of a more impressive win, all cbb teams, than last night

I thought Texas played like crap at WVU, but was the lesser shoddy team that day. We handed them that game at the foul line more than anything else.

Last night has to be one of the biggest wins this season in all of NCAA hoops. You'd think more people would be talking about it here, but there was more chatter following Florida. & it is signing day, so I guess that's got people's attention.

I-State had already beaten Oklahoma and Kansas both inside HIilton. That's a landmark, milestone road win in program history.

You do know that Baylor had already beaten ISU in Ames just a few weeks ago. Right? As big as that win is for us, and it is HUGE, we aren't the first B12 team to beat them on their home court this season. And our next opponent happens to be that team.

Yeah I know. Mentioned that in a thread I started. Doesn't diminish the win to me though. & without Holton.

I-State I think they said on TV was 32-2 in their gym. Road wins vs ranked teams are few & far between.

Didn't Baylor just lose at home to Texas? Looks like we've got that in common too.

Outside of OU Texas is the hottest team in the conference. Right now we are tied for 1-2 with OU and Texas is tied for 3-4-5 with ..... Kansas and BAYLOR! And freaking ISU, a talented team we were fortunate to beat .... is in 6th place!

Texas has some serious talent that a coach like Shaka Smart will get the absolute most out of. You gotta give Smart a tip of the hat for waiting for an opportunity like he has grabbed at UT. We all know that he could have gone to several different programs, better than VCU, over the last few years. But he waited for the "right" situation and I honestly do not think he could have done better than Texas. He just might turn Texas into a Kentucky.

Anyway ... back on topic .... I think that this means in the games left with the top 6 B12 teams there will be a more huge road wins ... and those wins will eventually determine the top 1-2-3 teams. You just can't afford to slip up against the bottom four teams. It's not like they suck. On the right night they could beat anyone in the conference.

This is a brutal conference.

IMO, the biggest win for WVU will always be its last of the season.... in whatever form that comes.
