Look at their bona fides......other than the Huntington School of Beauty Culture is there a finer educational institution than Marshall on 4th Avenue?

A massive fan base in that area though not a majority in said area.

Overcoming one of the most despicable conspiracies launched against them in order to keep them down by any school in the history of fever swamp cabals. And by you-know-who.

As an advocate, I'm going Big Ten first, SEC second, ACC third, and the Big 12 last but not least.

But as a counter, would those conferences fear the advent of a MU membership that could alter dramatically the power structures in those leagues?

I have always thought this back to back to back smack was very weak considering that MVU is 0-12 against WVU in football. But after the last couple of days of baseball RPI smack when MVU is 0-2 this year against us and attendance smack when MVU is at 48% of our attendance, I realize that is the best MVU fans have. Yes 1 out of 10 rankings had MVU ahead of WVU last year. The other 9 rankings for some reason are only valid when it suits MVU (see baseball RPI above). Enjoy those moral victories because MVU cannot beat WVU on the field, the court or the diamond. It is all you will ever have.

So we are 3-0 in the above sports this year against MVU. The only one we did not play you in was football where we have only 3 out of conference games. I am sure if Marshall wants to come to Morgantown, Lyons will schedule the game. As for basketball, I expect we will see the game renewed in the next few years. That gives you three or so years of moral victories before the beat downs resume.

If Marshall really wants to do something to benefit the State of West Virginia. they should book a series with University of Charleston or West Virginia State. These two schools are only about 45 minutes from your campus. Give them the thrill of playing a big-time game

MVU had a SOS ranking of 236, so playing a lower division team should not drive it any lower. Really is it possible to go any lower than that?
