How absurd does this have to get before enough stop watching the bowl games on TV to force the number of downs to a reasonable number?

A team should have to be at least 7-5 to qualify for a bowl. That way, there will be no season W-L losers after the bowl. I mean, who would watch games between these two teams in mid-season?

I watched WVU play Miami. Period. TV didn't make a dime off me otherwise. If the ratings get bad enough, commercials get too cheap to make a profit and the bowls would dwindle. It's OUR fault that we watch such mediocre teams that we ignored during the regular season.

Awesome record by bowl teams:

South Carolina finished 6-7.

Texas San Antonio finished 6-7.

Central Florida finished 6-7.

Louisiana Lafayette finished 6-7.

Central Michigan finished 6-7.

Miami of Ohio and Mississippi State, who played each other, BOTH finished 6-7.

Maryland finished 6-7.

Vanderbilt finished 6-7.

North Texas finished 5-8 !!!!

Indiana finished 6-7.

Disagree. Personally I love the bowls, the more the merrier. You don't have to watch if you don't want to, it's your choice.

why do people complain about # of bowl games? I enjoy football and it's about to be over.

Enjoy football, it will soon be over and then the longest off-season of all sports will follow..........

Shortest season of any sport (15 games max and that's only for the 2 teams who play in championship, 13 games for most teams. And then the longest off-season of any sport.

Give me 100 bowl games. Enjoy it while it lasts...........
