The ACC is vulnerable if schools want to leave moreso than the BIG 12. This is because their low contracts are locked in for a very long time.
Lets say FSU wants to leave. They’ll make 30-35 million per year from 2025-2036 in the ACC.
But in the SEC they’ll make $100 million per year from 2025- 2032, then get ANOTHER raise Before the ACC contract is even up.
So here how it looks- these are the years :

But let’s say it’s just half again–$150 million per school per year for 4 years through 2036. That’s an additional $600 million. Plus the $700 million=$1.3 billion.

For the BIG 12, the PAC negotiations and outcome a year later will be key- because regardless of pundits, the remaining BIG 12 schools have rated every bit as good as the PAC has - even better for the most part. So if they get a major bump then that is good for the BIG 12 schools remaining and coming in as well.

It is you who is naive. Texas and Oklahoma's situation didn't change. What changed was their MINDSET. Their MINDS were changed by a concerted decade long (or more) effort to move them along. After all, they were the schools that wanted to keep the BIG 12 that WVU joined together in the first place. OKLAHOMA was the leader in the push to improve things for the future in 2016 via expansion, a conference network and a championship game. So OU wasn't interested in leaving as late as 2016.
The constant, endless onslaught on social media and then picked up by more mainstream sources (radio, tv, etc.) got to their fanbase, and the fanbase took it to the boosters and the boosters took it to the administrators. Lots of disinformation and negativity pushed onto UT's and OU's conference until it did the trick. If you don't understand this you are extremely naive.

Spoken like a true shill. Who knows whether the BIG 12 will or wont exist in 20 years. There was no question of its thriving with UT and OU in it. Texas and OU would have been in the same financial ballpark as SEC schools in the BIG 12. Their tv ratings have been far ahead of the PAC and ACC and only a little behind the Big Tens on a per school basis. But the pay is currently far behind- was going to be reset shortly. The marketplace was reset via SEC and B10 numbers and the entire rights package of the BIG 12 was up for renewal. The SEC only put 15 games from CBS up and got a substantial increase and that is contracted and what the new schools will get.
Talking about AFTER theyve left and pretending the situation was the same BEFORE is a lie.

I'm not pushing the Big 12 into anything. Its economics that will determine the Big 12's fate. The Big 12 has lost half of its original members. Once Texas and Oklahoma leave there will be no more blue bloods. Wvu and Kansas will be the only state flag ship universities left in the big 12. The big 12 has a small demographic footprint. Outside of Wvu and Kansas every other team in the big 12 is referred to as Junior in their state. The big 12 is a collection of teams that can't find a home in another power 5 conference. Every team in the big 12 would jump at an invite to another power 5 conference. When it comes to power 5 conferences getting poached by other power 5 conferences the big 12 will always get smacked around. You should seriously consider taking a class in economics. Its clear you don't know how money works.
The BIG 12 has Texas, Ohio, Florida,Kansas, Iowa, Utah, WV, Oklahoma. BYU has a very large support system that is global.
The footprint will substantially increase from what it was.

Now the “blue blood” aspect is just one factor. Schools like Baylor, TCU, Cincinnati, UCF have had much more on-field success than many so called blue bloods. Its a challenge but the BIG 12s ratings have been superior to two power leagues. There is alot of upside and there are more media outlets than ever.
Media(ESPN) love to push that narrative. Here is the conference championship games TV ratings. Of course the B12 game had neither OU or TX

And West Virginia can't afford the recent botched

OU and especially Texas used the BIG 12 as a cash cow. They hamstrung the rest of the conference and the commissioner to threaten them into not acting in their own best interest For years. Texas and OU were not more relevant than say Clemson in the ACC, Ohio State in the Big Ten, or Alabama in the SEC—- but they and their media machine always acted as though they were something more. Those other schools didn’t demand special treatment, but an agenda driven social media and even bigger media campaign demanded special treatment for OU and UT which weren’t approaching the level of accomplishment for the conference as Alabama, OSU and Clemson did for their conferences. Bowlsby wasn’t able to act as say, Jim Delaney and take proactive actions to better everyone‘s situation— he was controlled by OU and especially UT and couldn’t do anything without their ok.
