Bill Stewart to get an exit named after him?

Stewart has a good place in WVU history and most fans see him for what he was (a good guy).
why do you try to turn every thread into a middle school fight? it's not going to work with... you're not worth anymore of my time.

It's tacky. Give the guy a small exhibit at his high school dedicated to him, that would be more appropriate. But an exit off the side of the interstate, probably next to a truck stop? Sorry but it seems like a dumb idea.
The winningest coach in WVU football history and you say "give him a small exhibit at his high school". Wow, you have always seemed a little out of touch with regards to how our State feels about our program.
Bill Stewart was a decent individual and a good "care taker" coach. He truly loved WVU. A Exit named in his honor is nice but a Bridge would have been a better choice. Better yet name the traffic circle on the mileground after him. There was a named turning lane located there before the change. Tippy Buck turning lane or something like that cant remember exactly what it was called.
I think he was mocking naming an exit after Bill and not actually endorsing (yet comparing it to) a high school exhibit.

Stew had 28 wins. The Dick had over 30 in just 3 seasons. Lewis, Carlin, Bowden, and Dana have more than 28 wins.
Btw this was just a suggestion in the legislature by a senator, which didn't get a lot of support. They'll call it University Town Center.

That's good, naming an exit for Bill would not only be ironic but a cruel and low-minded sort of joke.

i like the idea of a small exhibit at his high school. As for an interstate exit or bridge, I don't believe that is appropriate.
Harry E. Trout was the greatest coach EVER of college football at West Virginia University. In 1903 he led the WVU snakes to a seven and one record, One game short of a national Championship that we were cheated out of on a bad call late in the fourth quarter, Instead of being known as the mountaineers, we should have called our selves the West Virginia Trout in his honor.
