I was hardest on my kids from 0 to 5 after that they knew I meant what I said and I didn't make idle threats or promises.
A older Christian woman gave me some sound advice for being a parent. She said it was my job to make my kids self sufficient and independent by 18 sooner if possible. Both my kids at 24 and 25 have their own homes .
I spanked my kids , I asked their opinion and required them to debate it with facts or sound reasoning. My daughter with 2 little girls of her own is not afraid to bust those assess and makes them say yes sir and yes mam , please and thank you .
