The Big 12 is easily the second best conference in america after the SEC Source = Punish-eer

The Big 12 is easily the worst or 2nd worst conference in the power 5 outside of the ACC source = Scoreboards and Box Scores

Let's look at the record.

Which Big 12 football team lost to a team with a lower ranking?

None? Well, there why the surprises. The Big 12 did what it was supposed to do. If they had lost to lower ranked teams all over the place, then this OP would be valid.

Otherwise, not so much.

Iowa and Michigan State got blown out of the water. So, should the Big 10 ranks behind the Big 12, the Pac-12, the SEC and the ACC?

In basketball, when Kansas and Oklahoma play, it will be No. 1 vs. No. 2. Wanna trash Big 12 basketball, too?

Hoisted on your own petard!

None of the teams that lost where really competitive not a great argument. The big 12 has ensured itself a losing bowl record for the 2nd straight year and hasn't had a bowl winning record in 3 years. The big 12 conference champion has lost in the last 4 bowl games and remember TCU was beaten by Baylor last year so they where the weaker of the so called co champion. Michigan and Ohio State won their bowls which are some positives for big 10 fans

Yea they did what they are suppose to do. Lose. By the way, TCU is 11th and Oregon is 15. TCU IS GETTING POUNDED JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER BIG 12 TEAM EVERY YEAR AT THIS TIME!

No they didn't. I have already proven you wrong once. Do you want me to embarrass you again?

Yes they have Baylor beat Tcu last season nice try you can live by they where co conference champions BS all you want it isn't gonna Change the fact that The Big 12 is on par with the ACC

Without their starting QB, but don't let facts get in the way of your argument.

Just shows you about the lack of depth that Big 12 teams have. If TCU average recruiting classes where in the high teens or top ten and not the mid to high 30's they would have the depth to absorb some of these losses

Why do most people say bowl games don't matter until they're played? Then all of the sudden they are a big deal by which, win or lose, whole conferences are judged.

The big 12 hasn't been competitive in any of the games its lost and where lucky we didn't play A G5 team because we would have gotten smoked by them too.

Some seem beyond happy the Big XII isn't playing well in the bowl games this year.

I will never understand the mindset of some on here.

They're trolls, ACC fans. They don't want to admit how bad the ACC sucks, losing to two G5 teams.

No i am a wvu grad who is sick of excuses and bases opinion on what the scoreboard says. Put down the crack pipe, Mushrooms, LSD, or Bong whatever your thing is and start reading Scoreboards and Box scores

Its funny how you resort to name calling when you can't provides facts to back up your argument. It must suck to be you. You want someone to argue with go argue with the scoreboard after Big 12 bowl games and stop the feeble minded excuses

Here are facts that back up my argument: the ACC lost to TWO G5 schools. [laughing]

Now do you see what many of us were saying...Big12 top teams were only ranked that high because they had never played anyone.. Now you see that once they are on the field with decent competition, they folded their tents quicker than most Dana coached teams have in past years.

Let's look at this objectively... Michigan State lost; Iowa lost; ND lost; PSU lost; and, how many other Big X teams might have lost their bowl games? We're no worse than them.

For the Big XII, I'd say the Liberty Bowl and Cactus Bowl don't matter much. But anytime the conference gets a chance to play a ranked team or play for the NC, it does matter. Not just losing, but how competitive you are in the loss. TCU got a shot at 11th ranked team. OSU got a shot at 12th ranked team. OU had a shot at the top ranked team AND the national title. TTU had a shot at the 20th ranked team. Admittedly I'm not that surprised by TTU, but honestly the fact that ALL of the other three were thoroughly routed is embarrassing. At least last year the Big XII beat one decent team (TCU crushing Ole' Miss) and was competitive in losses (Baylor losing to MSU and KSU losing to UCLA).

I was really hoping for a strong bowl record, to show that last year was an anomaly...

I look at it this way: Every Big 12 bowl team has given up at least 37 points (I will take the liberty of saying TCU will give up at least 6 points in the 2nd half). That means they don't play a lick of defense. The defenses in the Big 12 play too many little DBs and LBs so they can play pass coverage against the finese Air Raid teams they see every week in conference play. So when they play phyiscal teams in bowl games those undersized people get manhandled and miss tackles. Has happened to every Big 12 defense so far.

I wonder if any reporter in Phoenix will have the nads tonight to ask the Offensive Genius why the Big 12 has sucked in bowl games for 3 years in a row.

Do you honestly think ND is a Big 10 team? They lost to OSU, an actual Big10 team. The OSU and Michigan wins were big wins. Minnesota, Nebraska and Wisconsin also won their bowl games.

I do hope TCU can comeback and win though...I like them on weeks they don't play us

Oh yah! Definitely the most enjoyable bowl I have watched. Will be even more so, if TCU wins...

Dude i don't care about the Acc i went to wvu and don't live anywhere close to Acc country. Just because you do and probably run your pie hole about the Acc sucking doesn't change the fact that the big 12 is an overrated physically weak conference. The big 12 finished 3-4 which is the best it could have done. Every team that lost was Non competitive. TCU and Our game could have gone either way and lucky for the big 12 it went the right way because 3-4 is better than 1- 6. If you think our program can't due better than 7-5 in this conference after watching this putrid display of football the last 2 bowl seasons then your doing nothing but selling the program short

but I will say the Big12 was part of the two best bowl games to watch this year

Thank God there are two halves in every football game - Gary Patterson, HC TCU
