The Cons are pretty strait forward
- no local rivals from a conference stand point BUT it looks like we will play rivals OOC soon
- travel was considered a negative but I am not sure that is that big of a deal. I don't mind seeng WVU at Texas, OU on TV vs. at UNC or Wake Forest
Pros
- more money with less teams ....Helps WVU build athletic programs and recruit
- great basketball
- great football
- great baseball ( a very well rounded athletic conference)
- major TV coverage as good or better than other conferences
- love the B12 style of offense it's a fun conference to watch and we fit well
I am probably missing some major pros and cons but personally I really like being in the B12 and feel we were damn lucky to land were we did. I prefer the B12 over the ACC and there may be an argument that from a Football and Basketball prospective the B12 is better than the SEC. That said I live for football and the SEC might have been my first choice if we had one. But I will say this I am happier in the B12 than the ACC. It's just a better conference. Your thought after several years in?
