West Virginia’s success on the field this season has to get fans excited about what’s to come in the near future. The Mountaineers have had four-star wide receiver Mike Harley committed since the summer and he is the type of player that WVU has made its hay on for the last decade. The recent commitment of in-state defensive back Derrek Pitts gives Dana Holgorsen his second four-star in 2017. Hard-hitting hometown linebacker Maverick Wolfley and Louisiana all-purpose back Tevin Bush are two players that come in with less fanfare but could up the profile of this class down the road.

Since when is a coach a "lame duck" when he still has another year on his current contract and has not been given his termination notice. Lyons will be an idiot (well, I think he already is) if he doesn't do what's necessary to keep him.

Since nearly every established P5 coach usually has 3-4 years of contract years in front of him. I have no issues with this situation. Dana made his bed. He picked a great year to finally overachieve.
