'Shrinkflation' and 'Bidenomics' are basically the same thing. They both use deceptive advertising to make you feel like you're getting a good deal.

Have any of you been shopping for an automobile lately? Even pre owned late models with 50K or more miles on them are selling at retail 75% of their original MSRP! It's great if you're trading, however it is demoralizing if you're buying pre owned trying to avoid the sticker shock of brand new models.

Once you get past the prices, say hello to double digit interest rates for financing unless you have more than 20% down and stellar FICO scores exceeding 725.

Let's not even discuss qualifying for the average home mortgage price which is now almost 300K! 🤫

Thanks creepy Joe, no doubt you're going to be out there promoting these fabulous economic numbers!

It's unreal. We're financing 108 month (9 year) terms on some new vehicle purchases just to get the payments under 1,000.00 a month! If you're raising a family, it's getting impossible to pay for food and clothing if you have to finance a new vehicle.

Unreal.

Question is ,how many people need a 4 door truck ? People can afford the needs . But most insist on getting what the Jones have .
My buddy had to have a loaded diesel truck ....for what? I'm a pipeline and use my truck every day and it's loaded to the max (11 500) . It's crazy what people foolishly think they need and what they'll pay for it and not be able to save a nickle.... then blame the government when they are broke .

True there is some of that "keepin' up with the Jones'". However most consumers today don't want a stripped down econobox. Folks work hard for their money and want the vehicles they're paying for to be comfortable, stylish, and practical. Some want that vehicle to make a statement about where they are financially. What's driving these price increases is the rising costs of materials and labor to manufacturers. As demand slacks off due to folks not being able to afford new vehicles, the price of pre owned goes up as demand for those increases.

It's a vicious cycle. Wages don't keep up with inflation, and it becomes prohibitively more expensive just to maintain older vehicles much less afford new ones!

We need massive income tax cuts, lower government spending to slow inflation, lower energy prices, and a growing economy so folks can get decent jobs that help them afford the basic necessities. We are in heap big doo-doo unless this mess gets fixed and soon!

People put more stock into style than integrity.....current president is proof.
Sad ..I had to order a work truck ..lmao . Most can't afford the financial statement they demand on Making and the debt America is in is proof .
I'm a grower not a shower...lmao
I'm looking for a old truck right now I'm so sick of all the dings and bells and seats that move and holy hell I'm tired of my vehicle telling me what I want .... I'm not a mindless cripple. I don't need to be told to check my back seat ....WTF ...if we as humans need all that then we deserve Joe Biden and the socialists agenda he is cramming down our throat cause we can't fend for ourselves.
Looking for a '95 or older f150,250 gasser...

@sammyk that's a grand a month if you're not noticing that you're very rich or getting government assistance.
Or there's always the third option...he could be straight up lying if he claims he doesn't notice 1K more a month coming out of his bank account!

Come to think of it, that's probably closest to the Truth...especially considering he's on the Left and lying comes as easily to most of them as the rest of us breathe. 😏

If he truly is a teacher in North Carolina I'm sure I double his income, not bragging in any way shape or form . I know at my pay scale $1000.00 a month is missed and missed badly as any middle class American would say . If a person is fiscally responsible even a little bit 1000.00 is back breaking or could be . Now only two ways that's not hurting and hurting badly is your getting food stamps or you are rich . Him screaming the economy is good shows one of three things he's on government assistance, rich or a idiot.

He's not rich. So that by default leaves the other two choices you offered. 😏

Nike cutting 1,600 jobs to cut costs

Family eats some good cuts of beef and if they use 5 tubes of toothpaste a week they need to see a dentist or a doctor. My family now or in the past never had that much a week . Prime steaks once every 2 months. Burger chicken and beans, maybe cube steak if I worked overtime.
P.s now I get 1/2 beef a year so I eat more top cuts ...
Not arguing inflation is bad or Joe Biden sucks cause both are true just pointing out buying the best then complaining about the price is petty.

Beef bologna cost over twice as much under these turds. There's no defense to what these morons have done to the economy. It's almost as if they are doing it on purpose.

I can't argue that inflation is ridiculous and most of us blue collar people are hurting. Those of us who don't use credit cards instead of cash has had to make extreme cut backs on things of want to get our needs . ... my point above is who ever went shopping to show inflation should have done so in a fiscal manner.

I don't have have a problem with you pointing out people may have to make sacrifices. That definitely happened during the Great Depression. My point is if Biden and Democrats weren't in control you wouldn't need to. A couple of bologna sandwiches costing over 20 dollars is beyond stupid.

People aren't fooled Gunny. There is a reason Biden's favorability rankings are in the toilet. The two things folks hold him most responsible for: Economy (ie: inflation) and that disastrous open border! It's consistent in poll after poll across all ages, demographics, and even parties!

He's toast and Dems know it...so they're just trying to do all they can to damage Trump's chances of beating him in a fair fight. Won't work. He's already defeated and they know it!

Hey I resent that!

So do the voters when it comes to your lousy job performance 'ya decrepit creep!

Biden faces growing Democrat fury over border crisis

excerpt
A sizable majority of Democratic voters believes the Biden administration is doing a bad job of handling illegal immigration over the U.S.-Mexican border, according to a new Pew Research Center poll. The survey found 49 percent of Democratic or Democratic-leaning voters think the government is doing a "somewhat bad" job of "dealing with the large number of migrants seeking to enter the U.S. at the border with Mexico," with another 23 percent answering "very bad." When adjusted for rounding, and once the undecideds have been removed, this gives a total of 73 percent who have a negative view of how the border crisis is being handled.

Biden's bout with inflation just suffered another setback

excerpt:
President Joe Biden said it himself this week: “Prices are still too high.” Unfortunately for Biden, Tuesday’s inflation report came in hotter than expected, ensuring that one of his toughest political problems isn’t going away.

BIDENOMICS:

U.S. Housing Costs Now At Crisis Levels.

Housing prices in the United States rose 5.5 percent in December compared to the previous year, according to the S&P’s CoreLogic Case-Schiller 20-City Composite Home Price Index.

The increase has pushed the cost of housing to crisis levels under Joe Biden’s presidency.

December’s increase marks the seventh consecutive month that home prices increased.

The U.S. housing market has remained ‘hot’ despite the Federal Reserve keeping interest rates elevated.

While some Fed observers expected the central bank to begin cutting rates already, Fed Chairman Jerome Powell and members of the Board of Governors have signaled a reduction in interest rates may be delayed until after the November 2024 election. The hope of a Fed rate cut pushed mortgage rates for residential property down slightly in early December. This slight drop, in part, fueled an increase in home purchases during that month. Elevated mortgage rates and home prices have sparked a renewed housing affordability crisis in the U.S. The Biden government has thus far failed to tackle continued inflation fears.

Two weeks ago, the inflation rate increased to 3.1 percent, exceeding projections by leading economists.

Even when the Fed finally moves to cut interest rates, there is likely to be little relief for homebuyers.

As mortgage rates fall, more buyers are expected to enter the housing market.
uyers are anxiously waiting to jump in the market as soon as mortgage rates fall,” Dr. Selma Hepp, chief economist with CoreLogic, noted. She added: “That means that 2024 will show another year of home price highs.”
