WVU was in it in the first year 2002. I remember that it was a sellout with over 70k. WVU had the overwhelming majority of fans.

I wonder if that bowl game since or any college football game in that stadium has ever sold that many seats. I remember the Meineke Car care Bowl in 08 had a lot of people but I don't remember it being totally sold out.

I was at that one. I thought they announced a crowd of 73k+ -- and said it was a stadium record (more than any Panther game?). I'd have to double-check that.
And yea... the stadium was about 3/4 WVU fans. The 2 things that I remember standing out -- we got rolled -- like we usually do in bowl games... and the UVa band incident.
