As of February 2015, the channel is available to 16,945,000 households (14.6% of those with television) in the United States. This estimate of beIN Sports customer base is inflated. beIN Sports, however, is only a customer of those subscribers who also choose to subscribe to the upper tier sports package, and most cable subscribers don't do that. Payment for upper tier sports packages varies but ranges from 5 - 20 percent. Based on usual subscription rates for sports tiers, beIN Sports actual penetration of the U.S. market is around is more accurately estimated at between 3 and 5 percent, even though beIN sports has been in the midst of a 2-year program to bring beIN Sports to every household in America as part of their contract with DORNA for motorcycle race coverage, all of which was given exclusively to beIN Sports for 2016 with the promise that by the end of the year, market penetration of the U.S. would exceed 50 percent. beIN Sports is currently moving at less than 1/10 the speed necessary to reach that goal.

Not that it would mean a whole lot....The top half of college football teams could do it too.
