Shaka Smart will be getting a huge bump in a year or so too. ....although he's paid extremely well for where he's coaching atm.

While it's nice to know Huggs is committed to WVU (he's done with 'stepping stones') I'm of the opinion he's still overpaid. ...AND PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT'S JUST AN OPINION. While posting honestly, I know some will claim I'm trying to start sh*^.

[Chip Brown
of Horns Digest reported Texas is finalizing a deal that will make
Smart the next head coach at Texas. Brown reported a five-year contract
of around $14 million has been offered to Smart.]

Always got to consider the amount of money that a coach brings to the school through donations. And probably only the Athletic Director and President have an idea what that value is. Without Huggins, I doubt that WVU would have built the $20M practice facilty so that should give everyone an idea of of Huggins' added value.

Mark Few is a great example of how difficult it is to take a team to the Final Four. I think he's kne of the best coaches in the country, and he's yet to get there. I think he will though.

A lot of our fans take Huggs for granted, and I've said it before, but the list of coaches with multiple Final Four appearances is pretty elite company. I'm not saying he is or isn't overpaid, but I'm glad to have a coach of his ability at WVU.

Over

Huggs - At that salary he really needs to produce atleast another Final Four to justify the pay. He is not grossly overpaid IMO though, he has lead to WVU to its highest peak since the 50s, and as another poster said he adds value with his ability to schmooze the donors along with the fact that he is a former WVU player and understands the culture of WV.

Crean - Self explanatory, just simply hasn't gotten the job done.

JT3 - Still living off of a final four from nearly a decade ago at a tradition rich school

Under

Gregg Marshall - Self explanatory, he is getting top of the line results in a cornfield state and is 3rd fiddle in his own state

Roy Williams - Is that seriously his salary?

Mike Brey - Very solid coach and a beacon of consistency which is perfect for ND. Rough start to his career there but seems to have a solid footing.

OVER
Travis Ford. He wins a lot of games, but he has never been past the round of 32 with the 'Pokes.

UNDER
Mike Brey. All he does is win big games. Best coach the Irish have had since Digger Phelps.

Fred Hoiberg. Great recruiter, IMO utilizes transfers better than anyone else in College BB.
