We waste way too many opportunities to get out in front of a team. Almost every inning today, we have had runners on second or even third and struggled to plate them. Good teams get those runs across, especially if your team's identity this year is better hitting over your pitching.
I won't take much away from K-State as they've done a lot of things right, but they also are likely a bottom half conference team. We have to win these games to ensure we get a postseason. We are fortunate our pitching has been better than expected because they've been a huge reason we've stayed in some of these games in spite of our offensive droughts.
And as I type this, K-State squanders their opportunity with a runner at third with only one out. Blake Smith gets a K and a groundout to end the threat!
