During your time down here, did you ever get into Grouper Reubens?

OMG are they good. For the longest time I ignored them thinking what a terrible thing to do to a nice grouper filet. About a year ago, I broke down and tried one and I've been addicted ever since.

Best fish sammich around.
 
Did not but I don't see how that couldn't be good. I'll be sure to try it if I get the chance. It's funny I was in Tampa about a month ago and I had the hardest time finding fresh grouper. I could only find one market on Dale Mabry that had it.
 
They've traded out the kraut on a traditional reuben for sweet cole slaw with pineapple bits. Marble rye, swiss cheese, thousand island along with the cole slaw ... to die for. No idea how they are preping the grouper before grilling, but the next time I go to Pinchers, I plan to ask.

That's amazing you couldn't find fresh grouper up there. Maybe it's been in high demand with the seasonal residents.
