MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (September 2, 2018) – The West Virginia University football coaching staff has named its award winners for outstanding performances in the Mountaineers’ 40-14 win vs. Tennessee on Saturday, Sept. 1.


Offensive Champion – Gary Jennings Jr.; Defensive Champions – Defensive Line; Special Teams Champion – Deamonte Lindsay; Offensive Scout Team Champion – Trent Jackson; Defensive Scout Team Champion – Sam Cookman; Special Teams Scout Team Champion – Jake Abbott.


West Virginia returns to action this week against Youngstown State on Saturday, Sept. 8, at 6 p.m. ET on AT&T SportsNet.
