That didn't take long. So proud.

Autocrats roll back rights and rule of law — and cite Trump’s example

Democratic backsliding in Eastern Europe, the Balkans and Turkey long predates Trump; the president has been said to have derived some of his messaging from Orban. But in several nations, including Hungary and Serbia, authorities say openly that Trump’s return has helped them serve up what critics say are fresh violations of basic rights. In Turkey, where President Recep Tayyip Erdogan this week detained his leading political rival and dozens of others, advocates see Trump’s influence as an enabling factor.

The new Trump administration “is bringing together autocrats and would-be autocrats around the world,” said Rosa Balfour, director of Carnegie Europe. “What they share is a radical right agenda, and they are much more connected in their policies and goals than we have been assuming.”

Eventually people are going to figure out WHY the CIA does the things it does. More so under certain President's.

Hope he has Security he can trust.

Make Russia Red Again Moe says. They miss the Soviet Union. They just plan on calling it something else this time. You don't have to like Putin to understand it. A list of assets from the 1990,'s who we controlled in Russia would help clear some of this up. A list that realized people in our Government were trying to undo what had been done would be more helpful. Doubt Putin gives us that as it would cause more problems than it helps. So that would be something Trump would need to release if he feels it needs to be.

Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) said it prevented an alleged Ukrainian "assassination" attempt targeting Russian President Vladimir Putin's confessor, Tikhon Shevkunov, according to Reuters.

I respect the calm confidence it will all get worked out.

Unfortunately politics probably caused it though. Old enough to remember when Nancy Reagan said "just say no".

Tons of reports on it.

Correct. Not too many people care about that. He was eyeing a much bigger problem.

Nixon Started the War on Drugs. Privately, He Said Pot Was ‘Not Particularly Dangerous.’

On this day in 1982, President Ronald Reagan declared illicit drugs to be a threat to U.S. national security.

Lol...doubt that or any other nonsense is why Nancy didn't like the Bush Family. I'm going with Ronald Reagan told her something they were doing behind his back.

They should release everything on Iran Contra too. Personally I could give a shit if Reagan or his Administration loyal to him supported the Contras. The were fighting Communist. Look what happened to Venezuela once the Communist got control of that drug market. The biggest story to me is alot of Democrats didn't want to fund the Contras then wanted to attack Reagan for it.

Dear John,

In all due respect nobody got ran over harder than Bush by the far left. Time to try something different.

I mentioned all this because you can Google lots of corruption in Governments south of the border including Judges. Socialist Governments gain controlled of the Cartels. How much of that has spread here.

In the late 1980's, all through the 1990's and acleratering after 2009 Narco Terroism and Human Trafficking has accelerated with the CCP adding Fentayl to the problem.

So for those that say the Government Officials are bribed and bought off. I suggest those officials are placed in power. In many cases the Cartels are the real Government.

Hey SecDef. That's the point. They don't want you to be lethal enough to do that. It's bad for their bosses buisness.

After that send him to Camp Lejeune at 0500 so the LCPL Mafia can pull his underwear over hid head and shove him in a footlocker.

In 1960 the United States in many areas started moving away from American Civics towards Social Studies in our schools. You are perfect example of why that was a dumb idea.
