he's been indulged with excuses for so long, i doubt he has the strength to handle real pressure

I doubt he's feeling much pressure considering he's set for life one way or another. Wish I would have went to coaching school.

It sure does look more attractive than when I was in college. As I recall, Bobby Bowden never made more than the $30s here, and I know he was always on 1 year term contracts.

Accounting for inflation, $40,000 in 1975 would be about $180,000 in today's dollars. Outside pop singers, it's hard to come up with any occupation where someone can make so much relative to talent. I believe all of our assistants now make more in real dollars than we paid head coaches in those days, including the ones literally a twist of fate from being assistant HS coaches and PE teachers.

Wink and Pat ain't got a thing on Dana. Dana is a multi-million and growing richer with every game! Dana got money in the bank.........................Frank! I (well..............me and TorontoEERs) send him a jug of pickles for free every week because of his natural good looks and unnatural wealth. Red Bull sets him up as well. I feel sure that Breck or somebody sets him up for the hair thing.

If I was Dana I would walk away too .... if someone offered me job that paid more.

Paper .... you stir up stuff just to see whose feathers get flustered. But there ain't no way Dana walks before his contract is over unless its for a better job.

This is just stupid.

something tells me this week could be dana's week to 'walk away'. if i'm right, he'll use his classic game prep routine to pull out an embarrassing loss. pretty much forcing wvu to act.

That's not "walking away." Walking away means leaving voluntarily and forfeiting his right to close to $ 6 million. Hell, even if wanted to leave that's too much money to give up and he has ZERO chance of getting a job that pays as much as we are contractually obligated to pay him if he either continues to show up or we relieve him of his responsibilities.

Don't worry. Paper has a plan to hire a Co-Head Coach with the secret motive of humiliating Dana so greatly that he simply quits and gives up the money left on his contract.

I'm not making that up.
