Are we back to wanting to fire DH?

In nearly everything in life the greatness of your reward is based on the amount of risk you are willing to take. Mountaineers aren't risk takers. We want to play it safe and will just remain content with what we have. If that means sticking with a so-so coach, then so be it.

Mediocrity. Learn to like it. Learn to love it.

You want instant gratification. You evidently can't see the bigger picture.

I've never changed my mind on the subject......but season has begun and there wont be a change so may as well hope he has improved his coaching......after today, looks like not much change!!!

5 seasons, Big East , Big 12, All his recruits, nothing has changed. Same results, very predictable. we can keep him and see what happens, we can let him move on. I am a Mountaineer fan, but I will predict a 5-7 finish and listening to Elvis singing I'll be home for Christmas, and Perry Como singing Oh there's no place like home for the Holidays. I am a Mountaineer no matter who the coach. I dont and cant make that decision. I fly my blue and gold and hope for the best for WVU no matter who the coach, players, executives etc.
Lets goooooooooooo Mountaineers, Lets get back on track next week.

The Board's mood swings are confusing.

Yes - WVU should never lose and if these coaches can't comprehend that fact then they need to be fired. Doc Holliday understand the never lose strategy and is lowly compensation at Marshall - perfect for WVU.

8-4......or else! This is not the team that should be worse than that. Next year we will struggle defensively. And our offense may not be better either. So if he can't prove he can win with this group of veterans......I'm just saying, when will he show it? How long is long enough?

Despite your posts trashing coaching decisions.... ...are you not supposed to be pretending to be a 'true fan' that has no doubts ?[/QUOTE

I wasn't speaking for myself I was talking about our fans who have no business chiming in when they have been ghosts for 4 weeks.

You included. Sammich time

How WVU ever accomplished anything without your "expertise" is truly staggering.

Mediocrity is why we fired Stew.

Its way to early for this talk....Dana does need to learn to win late in the season and lack of depth is not an issue this year....time will tell

Yup, by 12:20 I knew we were going to get blown out and turned it off. These dana games play out like a script.

The last time I check Rod left for a better job and more money

Do yyou want instant gratification? an above poster asks. Bullshit, Dana is in his 5th season and still HAS NOT recruited a
top-of-the line QB. No we are asking for instant gratification. We are demanding that the almost $3 million man do his job.
Not too much to ask.

If over $700,000 a yr is lowly..you must be rich

I think this is the biggest leap forward in his tenure. In past seasons we lose that game by 30 or more. Somebody got in his ear and told him football is a physical sport. You can't be soft all week in practice then turn on the tough like a switch on game day.
Now with that being said he needs to avoid the "Dana dip" we usually suffer through in November.
