Lyons is a West Virginia native who got his bachelor’s and master’s degree from WVU. As he worked his way up the ladder, guess where he spent a decade? Yep, associate commissioner of compliance and governance for the ACC.

There will be none of this education crap on the table. If they bring it up...Hey UNC how's the FBI investigation going? Have they finished yet with your academic fraud investigation? Lucky you didn't lose any of your Accreditations.

The Big12 needs to come east not west. The only 4 schools west of Texas Tech that I would care to even go to would be Air Force, Colorado State, New Mexico, and New Mexico State.

Perspective: People forget the dialog when Miami and VT left the Big East and we "settled" by bringing in "scrub" teams like USF, Louisville and Cincinnati. Winning changed that.

I'm not pumped about this either, but it we are stuck, then we need to make the best of this just like we did in 2005. Neal has a chance to do what Rod did...help WVU become the big fish in a smaller pond. That could start this Saturday. Either this becomes the 2005 UL game or we take Zero risks (very much Neal's MO) and we shit the bed...again.

I must say after watching those teams this season 3 of them would challenge for conference championship right now and possibly win it. Looks like the increase will be better than Big East days.

There is going to be more movement and I think WVU will be a part of that and end up in ACC…..eventually or at least pod conference scheduling.

SEC will break away from NCAA less than 10 years, and at that point, the remainder schools will play in their own league focusing on rivals.

Unfortunately since they have approved and opened a Pandora’s box regarding the NIL, College football will lose interest and games like Saturday in Morgantown will be what’s left of the sport.
