I think today's game will actually help us more in the polls because of the way we played in a tough road game.

A lot of teams can win at home even against highly ranked teams, but only the best ones can compete like this on the road against a top team.

Agreed. Beat No. 1 by 11 & losing at the the new No. 1 by a tip-in with 2 secs left makes a statement. 15-2, tied for 1st in the best league in NCAA hoops. That's top 10 worthy. More to come.

Hoping more than rankings and conf titles for a good to great seed & draw in March.

Before that, I want the revenge win over OU in Morgantown..

Splitting the games with OU will be fine with me. Hell i thought this last game was impressive for both teams. The home game against OU should be another exciting game.

When Huggins said "ill fix it" i didnt expect a pressuring-physical-defensive team thats unbelievably exciting to watch.

Good stuff. No one saw the fix as being this. I love the old Cinci-Cleveland State style with the press. I love being the match-up nightmare with a team that was patched together & not even necessarily built to do this.

Can't forget while WV did throttle OU by 21 last year in Morgatown, they went on to lose by 19 in Norman. A lot different this season.

Like the sounds of the post game interviews. Team isn't too low despite a heartbreaker. Keep it rolling. Beat Texas.

definitely passing duke, miami, and now mich state. worst we can do is 7. my guess is 5.

Seth Davis balloted: 1 OU 2 UNC 3 WVU 4 Kan 5 Villanova

I'll take that. What I think is more likely though

1 OU
2 UNC
3 Villanova
4 Xavier
5 Kansas
6 WVU

Yep, rock chalk could still likely stay ahead of Press Virginia despite what just happened head to head. According to that above link, they'll barely drop at all. Don't quite agree, but I know they are highly respected. It's sort of a compliment to say their loss at WVU won't penalize them much.

Any event, it's certainly impressive when you consider WVU began unranked & picked 6th in the BXII.

What a difference the last two weeks have made. Could be catapulting from 17th to 6th.

Who knew at the time that beat down of Virginia Tech would turn out to be such a good win? Aren't they 4-0 in ACC so far? Lets hope for no injuries and continued winning and the polls will take care of themselves.

I love the job Huggins is doing. Projected No. 2 seed at the moment. 3 of top 6 teams in rankings are Big 12 teams. Big 12 has replaced Big East and ACC as the best basketball conference in America.

NO team will want to play WVU in March Madness with one day to prepare for the Mountaineers.

If WVU wins the national title -- please, God, before I die -- then coaches all over the country will be recruiting defensive pit pulls by the packful.

This is Huggins' best coaching job at WVU.

I love this team. I love that you can't beat WVU by stopping one guy. And most teams -- Oklahoma being the exception -- are so exhausted in the second half that they shoot below their season average for free throws, when no one is guarding them.

Awesome.

Oklahoma's shooting is incredible. So is Kansas'. But WVU's defense is the best in the country. It should be an interesting journey through the Big 12, where EVERY team has a winning record for the season, and into March Madness. I hope the top 4 Big 12 teams are in different NCAA quadrants to set up a possible all-Big 12 Final Four.

Hot damn!

Now, don't let down, WVU, tonight against TCU. There are no gimmes in Big 12 basketball.

Paper.................did you call the AP and have them put WV in at #6 or what? Be honest. I know you one of the shiny shoes. I just wish you would recognize me as a shiny shoes!
