Any word on McCoy or Crawford?

These two fellers are tough and will be ready to rumble come Saturday. My daddy always said he was proud of me whether I was running or passing or heck...........giving the ball off. I feel the same way about these two young fellers. They good!

Texas Tech field is like concrete. Not really fair to the players.

Crawford's looked like a ankle sprain-like one you'd get rolling your ankle playing basketball

McCoy's looked more serious... Im worried that it's one that'll linger throughout the year

The way they worded it, the field's hardness was by design to enhance team speed. If that's the case, let's just play on straight asphalt.

Agreed. I can't imagine HIS own players thinking that rock hard surface is good for them either. Reminds you of when guys used to play on the old Astro Turf product. There are multiple NFL guys that years later can barely walk or get out of bed due to the leg and/or back issues caused by what amounts to playing on asphalt......

I would imagine BOTH teams would gain this speed. My research into hardness tests on their field revealed an overall increase in team speed of 0.0002 % but, the tests results could not be confirmed by an independent lab nor were they repeatable when re-tested using TTU equipment.

Remember the complaints of the AstroTurf surface we had back in the 80s? Reminds me of that type of surface...

Ok thanks. Really hoping they can play and be effective if they do.
If they do not play or, even, play hobbled we have a greatly diminished chance of winning. Simple as that! we become nearly one dimensional without their prince--passing game alone cannot win for us. Hope they both can play and be effective. Having some doubts about McKoy in particular. If one or both is unable to play I suggest we spend the week getting Crest ready to become a RB. Imagine what all could be brought into he package if he were playing consistently. Better to try him than blow the red0shirt on Pettway or try to go with only Shell.

At first, it looked like he grabbed his clavicle, not his shoulder and I thought the worst.
It looked like he landed on the outside of his shoulder and hurt the collarbone where it hooks into the chest bone/ sternum. Technically, it's part of your shoulder. Impossible to say from TV how bad.

Love the crest idea!!

Clues for any students who watch WVU practice this week:

Not practicing, really bad.

Green shirt, can't hit him, not good.

Regular jersey, can hit him, really good sign.

Report back if you actually watch the practices.

Without these two guys I am confident Shell can handle a workload of 20+ carries. Regardless we still need that slashing type back like Crawford to keep TCU off balance.

I'm on board with the Crest idea, it's about time to see what he can bc it's not @ QB.
